In the green Umbria, traditions of the Morino

"The Morino" situated between Assisi and Bastia Umbra, immersed in  green,  boasts an antique tradition.

The house originally belonged to an old family from Assisi "Fiume Ser Mattei" around the time of the feudal wars between Guelfi and Ghibellini that were eventually reconciled by the Franciscan spirit, which is ever present in these places full of historical testimony. A painted fragment was found in this antique dwelling house.

It represented the face of a "Morino" a typical expression in the local dialect used to describe someone with a dark complextion. It's precisely from this that the name "Il Morino" derived.
